Holy Cross Places Seven On All-Patriot League Football Teams

Seven members of the Holy Cross football team have earned 2017 All-Patriot League honors, as announced by the conference office. Senior linebacker Nick McBeath was named to the first team, while senior wide receiver Blaise Bell, junior defensive lineman Teddy Capsis, senior defensive lineman Jack Kutschke, junior special teams player Jack McCabe, senior offensive lineman James Murray and senior quarterback Peter Pujals received second team honors.

Peter Pujals To Receive Nils V. “Swede” Nelson Award

Holy Cross senior quarterback Peter Pujals has been selected as the recipient of the 72nd annual Nils V. "Swede" Nelson Award, for outstanding achievement in academics, athletics, sportsmanship and citizenship. Pujals will receive the honor at the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston's Bob Whelan College Awards Dinner, which will take place on Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, Mass.

Football Falls At Lehigh In Season Finale

Lehigh tailback Dom Bragalone rushed 30 times for 201 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Mountain Hawks to a 34-21 victory over the Holy Cross football team at Goodman Stadium. The Crusaders conclude the season at 4-7 overall and 3-3 in the Patriot League, while Lehigh improves to 4-6 on the year and 4-1 in the conference.
