Heading into the 2017-2018 campaign, the Holy Cross men's basketball team looks to build a squad which can be a contender in the Patriot League. Even with a young group and the return of only one starter, the Crusaders bring back a number of players who were key parts of the 2016 Patriot League Tournament championship team. With the addition of six talented freshmen, the Crusaders have the ingredients necessary to be a major factor in the conference race.

Holy Cross senior linebacker Nick McBeath has been named the Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's victory at Fordham. This marks the third time McBeath has earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.
Three student-athletes on the Holy Cross men's soccer team earned All-Patriot League honors, as announced by the league on Monday, Nov. 6. Seniors Justin Carfora and Arno Rupp were both named to the All-Patriot League Second Team, while senior Yuji Callahan was named to the third team.

Senior forward Kelsey Goostrey has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from Oct. 30-Nov. 5. Goostrey totaled four goals and one assist last weekend as the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team swept a pair of games at St. Michael's.
Karl Charles started every game his freshman season at Holy Cross, was a 2015-16 Patriot League All-Rookie selection, and helped the Crusaders make the NCAA Tournament. "He had a heck of a freshman year," HC coach Bill Carmody said. "Last year you hoped it would go a little further."
The Holy Cross men's rowing team concluded their fall season at the Green Monster Regatta hosted by Dartmouth.
The Holy Cross men's hockey team dropped their first Atlantic Hockey game as they were shut out at Colonials Arena on Nov. 4, 3-0. The game is also the first time the Crusaders have been held scoreless in the 2017-18 season.
