The Holy Cross football team returns to Fitton Field this Saturday, Sept. 30, when it plays host to Lafayette at 1:05 p.m. as part of Homecoming weekend. The game between the Crusaders and the Leopards will be televised live by Charter TV3 and the Patriot League Network, and can be heard live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Sophomore goalkeeper Marcia LaPlante has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from Sept. 18-24. LaPlante made 12 saves and did not allow any goals as the Holy Cross field hockey team posted a perfect 2-0 record in a pair of games last week.

Senior wide receiver Blaise Bell caught nine passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns, but the No. 25 Holy Cross football team was defeated by Dartmouth 27-26 in overtime at Memorial Stadium. The Crusaders fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Big Green improve to 2-0.
The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Lehigh 3-0 Saturday, Sept. 23.
