Junior Zoe Matherne has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from Feb. 27-March 5. This marks the second straight Crusader of the Week selection for Matherne, who broke the school record in the 800-meter run at the ECAC Championship.
Holy Cross finished 25th out of 44 teams, earning its best finish in four years.
Matherne will return to action at the ECAC Indoor Championship on Sunday for the finals in the 800-meter run at 1:00 p.m.
An Economics major, Hitscherich holds a 3.76 grade point average and has been instrumental in leading the Crusaders in jumps and hurdle this year.

Earning All-New England honors was Matherne, Turner, Sowinski, Curtin, Hitscherich, Smiley, DiMare, Guilbo and McArdle.

The Crusaders finished the day in fifth place.
Senior co-captain Jennifer Kimball recorded a score of 3119, while sophomore Lauren Rasmus earned a score of 2981.
Junior Zoe Matherne notched a personal record and ECAC qualifying time of 2:12.05 in the 800-meter run.
Junior Alanna Hitscherich has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from Jan. 30-Feb. 5. Hitscherich set a new school record while leading the Holy Cross women's track and field team to a third place finish at the Rhode Island Coaches Invitational on Saturday.
