Robbie Wagner is in his second year as the equipment manager at the College of the Holy Cross in 2018-2019. He handles the needs of all 27 varsity teams, ensuring that coaches and student-athletes have proper equipment, apparel and footwear.
Wagner came to Holy Cross after working for two years as the associate director of athletic equipment and assistant equipment manager at The Citadel. He led a team of 12 student interns to successfully manage the needs of The Citadel’s football team. In addition, Wagner organized game day equipment and apparel for road games, while controlling the inventory of football players and coaches’ apparel and equipment.
He previously worked for three years as the clubhouse manager of the Greenville Drive, a Boston Red Sox Class A affiliate team. Wagner was responsible for purchasing food for pre-game and post-game meals, managing the equipment for batting practice and scheduling volunteer workers for home games.
Wagner graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University in 2014 with a major in sports management and a minor in business administration. He worked at the school as a football student assistant for defense and inside linebackers in which he imported practice and game film into the video system and helped managed practice and game day operations.
