Joe Cravero Named Academic All-Patriot League
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior pitcher Joe Cravero has been named Academic All-Patriot League, as announced by the league on Friday. In order to be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. This is the first time Cravero has been named to the team in his career.
Cravero is an economics major who has maintained a grade-point average of 3.39. This season he has made 12 appearances on the mound for the Crusaders while starting eight times. In that time he has posted a record of 3-3 while registering one save. In 52.1 innings pitched, he has held an ERA of 4.47 while holding opposing batters to an average of .261. He led Holy Cross in strikeouts through the regular season with 51.
Holy Cross finished the 2017 regular season with a record of 19-25, and a 12-8 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders will host Army West Point in the Patriot League Semifinals, beginning this Saturday, May 13 at 1:05 p.m.
