Taylor Pennell is currently in her first season at Holy Cross as an assistant coach in 2018. Pennell was a two-year captain of the women’s lacrosse team at Rutgers (Class of 2016) and was an assistant coach at Bucknell during the 2017 season.
In the 2017 season, Pennell coached Bucknell to a 9-8 overall record which was only the second time in the last 13 seasons that the Bison posted a winning record.
She was a three-year starter as a defender on the women’s lacrosse team at Rutgers and served as a team captain her junior and senior years. She also won the team’s Most Improved Player award for her performance during her first season in 2013. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and was named to All-Academic Teams in both the Big East and Big Ten during her time at Rutgers. Pennell graduated with a degree in exercise science and sport management.
She interned with the Scarlet Knights’ athletics fundraising organization and was a Student Philanthropy Ambassador with the Rutgers University TAG (Teaching Annual Giving). During her junior year in 2015, Pennell was a compliance, championships and communications intern for the Ivy League.
Pennell is from New Egypt, N.J. and was an Honorable Mention High School All-American at The Peddie School. She has coached at several camps and clinics across New Jersey, New York and Ohio. She was the head coach of the DewLax Lacrosse Club in Edison, N.J. and was an assistant coach at the Ultimate Lacrosse and National Women’s Lacrosse Camps.
