Fran Rowley enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Crusaders. She comes to Holy Cross after serving as an assistant coach for field hockey and lacrosse at Husson University in Bangor, Maine.

Rowley coached both the field hockey and lacrosse teams at Husson during the 2016-2017 academic year, while she also served as a KPE Graduate Assistant at the University of Maine where she assisted with lecture plans for multiple courses while teaching practical labs in strength & conditioning, injury prevention and more.

She also served as an assistant coach with the Maine field hockey program from 2015 to 2016. During that time Rowley also worked with strength & conditioning and campus recreation at Maine. She also has extensive experience at the club level, working with the Maine Majestix and Black Bear Elite programs.

As a player, Rowley competed at the University of Maine, where she was a Second Team America East All-Conference selection in 2013, and was named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2014. She also competed at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where she received the Blue Award for Contribution to Sport.

Rowley received a Bachelor of Physical Education from the  University of Otago, and a Masters in Kinesiology from Maine.
