Women's Tennis Edges Mount Holyoke 5-4 On The Road

  • The Lead: The Holy Cross women’s tennis team earned a close 5-4 victory over Mount Holyoke in South Hadley, Mass. Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Jennifer Kary secured a point for the Crusaders at No. 5 singles, winning by a score of 6-2, 6-3.
  • At No. 6 singles junior Caroline Kam also picked up a victory for Holy Cross, winning 1-6, 6-3, 13-11.
  • In doubles play, the duo of juniors Allison Reiling and Morgan McGuire won at No. 1 by a score of 8-6.
  • Kam and senior Meghan Lewis also teamed up for a doubles victory at No. 3, 8-6.
  • The final point came down to senior Katie Elia against Catherine Peabody at No. 3 singles, with Elia prevailing by a score of 4-6, 6-0, 10-8.
