Holy Cross Volleyball Team Falls 3-0 At Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Holy Cross volleyball team was defeated by Army 3-0 on Tuesday night at Gillis Field House, by scores of 25-6, 25-19 and 25-10. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 1-16 overall and 0-5 in the Patriot League, while the Black Knights improve to 17-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference.

Freshman Mallaigh McGinley (Amity Harbor, N.Y.) led Holy Cross with six kills, while junior Liz Auger (Barnstable, Mass.) added five kills. Sophomore setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted team-highs of 17 assists and eight digs.

Army was led by Jamie Clark with nine kills and Fabiola Castro with seven kills.

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, Oct. 17, when they play host to Lafayette in a 7:00 p.m. match at the Holy Cross Field House.
