Holy Cross Volleyball Falls To Army, 3-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Army, 3-0, by scores of 30-24, 30-16 and 30-16, on Saturday in Patriot League action at Gillis Field House. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 4-19 overall (2-10 Patriot League), while the Black Knights improve to 19-7 overall (9-3 Patriot League).
Senior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) registered her eighth double-double of the season as she had 19 assists and 10 digs, while junior Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) led the Crusader offense with 11 kills. Sophomore Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) led the team in digs with 13.
Army was led by Jamie Clark's 17 kills and Maureen Bannon's 29 assists. Elizabeth Lazzari also had a solid match as she tallied 11 kills and 13 digs.
The Crusaders return to the court on Friday, November 10, when they hit the road to face Lafayette at 7:00 p.m.
