Lafayette downs Holy Cross

Easton, Pa. - The Holy Cross volleyball team was defeated by Lafayette, 3-1 (21-30, 27-30, 30-16, 18-30), Friday night at the Kirby Sports Center.

The Crusaders were led by sophomore senior Caitlin Agostinacchio (Bellmore, N.Y.), who with 18 kills on the night, reached the 1,000 career-kills mark. She also added 13 digs.

Freshman Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) tallied 13 kills, while setter Michelle Leahy (Andover, Mass.) recorded 33 assists.

The Leopard's were led by Veronica Canto-Ponce, who registerd a game-high 19 kills, Lauren Dalsky, who tallied 23 digs and Heidi Olichwier, who set 33 kills.

The Crusaders, who are now 5-18 overall and 4-7 in the Patriot League, take on Lehigh, Saturday, Nov. 6 at 4 p.m, in Bethlehem, Pa.
