Holy Cross falls to Bucknell

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Holy Cross volleyball team gave Bucknell a tough battle before falling, 3-2 (30-18, 32-30, 26-30, 22-30, 16-18), in its season finale as several Crusaders played their best game of the season.

Senior Caitlin Agostinacchio (Bellmore, N.Y.) recorded a season-high 27 kills and added 14 digs and four aces for her 10th double-double of the season. Freshman Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) chipped in a season-best 21 kills.

Setting the way for the Crusaders was senior Michelle Leahy (Andover, Mass.), who tallied as season-high 61 assists, but not before adding 11 digs and four aces.

Sophomore Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) matched a season-high 23 digs as junior Caitlin O'Callaghan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) hit 12 kills and led the Crusaders with a .478 attack percentage, her best this season.

Leading the Bison were Becky Fisher who tallied 23 kills and 15 digs, while Jackie Leahy added a game-high 34 kills and 18 digs. Setter Jessica Le recorded 61 assists for Bucknell.

Holy Cross ends the 2004 season with a record of 7-19 overall and 6-8 in the Patriot League.
