Volleyball Defeated By Navy, 3-0

Annapolis, Md.- The Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Navy, 3-0, by scores of 30-23, 30-20 and 30-18, in Patriot League action, on Saturday night in Annapolis, Md. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 6-19 overall (2-11 PL), while the Mids improve to 19-7 (10-4 PL).
Junior Valerie Mora (San Antonio, Texas) led the team in kills with seven, while junior setter Chrissy Fanning (East Amherst, N.Y.) had 23 assists. Sophomore Christine Strawson (Torrington, Conn.) had six kills, giving her 338 on the season, which ranks her second on the Holy Cross single-season kills list. Senior captain Caitlin O'Callaghan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the team in digs with 10.
Navy was led by Rachel Dougherty and Jessie Sims who each had 15 kills. Ashley Musser led all players with 29 assists, while Megan Vehovic led all players with 18 digs.
The Crusaders conclude their season when they host Army for Senior Day at the Hart Center, on Saturday, November 12, at 6:00 p.m.
