Anderson Records 1,000th Career Dig In Loss At Lafayette

EASTON, Pa. - Senior co-captain Molly Anderson (Weston, Conn.) had 12 digs, giving her 1,005 for her career and making her only the fourth Crusader to ever record 1,000 career digs, as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Lafayette, 3-1, by scores of 25-10, 19-25, 25-19 and 25-16, in Patriot League action on Saturday. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 1-13 overall (0-2 Patriot League), while the Leopards improve to 6-9 (1-1 Patriot League).
Junior co-captain Samantha Surface (Fresno, Calif.) led Holy Cross with 12 kills, as she has now recorded double-digit kills in nine straight matches. Sophomore libero Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) had 16 digs, while sophomore setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 21 assists.
The Leopards were led by Kayly Elmer who had 12 kills and Megan Carter who had 29 assists. Kathleen Kretzmer recorded 11 digs.
The Crusaders return to action when they host Patriot League opponent Colgate at the Holy Cross Field House at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 3.
