Holy Cross Women's Lacrosse Defeated By Harvard, 19-2

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team fell to Harvard, 19-2, this afternoon in non-conference action at Jordan Field. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 0-2, while the Crimson start their season 1-0.
Senior Kristine Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.) and freshman Meg O'Leary (Longmeadow, Mass.) each scored one goal for Holy Cross, while sophomore Ali Baird (Wilbraham, Mass.) earned an assist on O'Leary's goal.
Harvard was led by Jess Halpern's four goals and one assist for five points, while Sara Flood also had five points with three goals and two assists.
Holy Cross freshman goalie Amy Martin (Bloomfield, Mich.) made five saves, while Harvard's Kathyrn Tylander stopped six shots in the first half to earn the win and Katherine Martino made three saves in the second half for the Crimson. Harvard outshot Holy Cross by a 29-17 margin.
The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, February 27, when they travel to Durham, N.H., to meet New Hampshire at 3:00 p.m.
