THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The Holy Cross men's hockey team returns to action when it takes on ECAC opponent Dartmouth on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 4:00 p.m. at Thompson Arena.
• Holy Cross is 12-6-1 (10-3-1 AHC). The Crusaders are on a nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-1) which is the longest in the nation, while they are 12-2-1 over their last 15 contests, outscoring the opposition by a 53-32 margin.The Crusaders are tied for first place in the Atlantic Hockey standings with 21 points with Robert Morris. Holy Cross' 10-3-1 conference record is its best after 14 conference games since the 2003-2004 season, when the Crusaders were 12-1-1. Holy Cross' 12-6-1 overall record is its best after 19 games since the 2005-2006 season, when the Crusaders were also 12-6-1.
• The Big Green are 5-8-1 (3-5-0 ECAC). Dartmouth is 2-3-0 over the last five games. The Big Green fell at Vermont, 1-0, on Friday, Jan. 9.
• The Big Green lead the all-time series, 4-3-1. Dartmouth won the last meeting with a 3-2 victory on Dec. 30, 2011, in the first round of the Ledyard National Bank Classic. Holy Cross won the pervious meeting with a 4-2 win on Jan. 3, 2010 in the third-place game at the Ledyard National Bank Classic.
• As of Jan. 7, the Crusaders are 14th in the nation out of 60 teams by scoring 3.26 goals per game, while Dartmouth is 48th with 2.31. Holy Cross is tied for 24th nationally by allowing 2.58 goals per game, while Dartmouth is 54th with a 3.54 average.
• The Crusaders are 33rd in the country with a .171 power play percentage, while the Big Green are tied for 49th with a .128 percentage. The Crusaders are 30th in the country with a .825 penalty kill percentage and the Big Green are 60th with a .720 percentage.

12-2-1 OVER LAST 15 GAMES

• The Crusaders are 12-2-1 over their last 15 games. The Crusaders have outscored their opponents 53-32 over this stretch. Junior forward Mike Barrett (Orland Park, Ill.) and sophomore forward T.J. Moore (Edina, Minn.) each have 14 points to lead the team over the last 15 games. Moore has eight goals and six assists, while Barrett has six goals and eight assists. Sophomore goalie Paul Berrafato (Williamsville, N.Y.) is 11-2-1 with a 1.72 goals against average and a .934 save percentage over this stretch.
