“Vasquez hits the ball hard, so she adds that dynamic to our gym. She is also just very committed—she wants to be in the gym and just loves to play. Those are some of the values that sold me on her and that’s what she brings.”

2016:

  • Played in 20 matches, making 37 appearances in set action
  • Tallied 30 kills, 54 digs, three service aces and one block assist
  • Registered a career-best 10 kills against Lafayette on Nov. 5 and a career-best 18 digs against Bucknell on Nov. 11

BEOFRE HOLY CROSS:

  • Four-year member of the varstiy volleyball team at Cary-Grove High School under head coach Patty Langanis, serving as team captain in 2015
  • Ranked third in the state of Illinois for Division II in 2015, her team won the Prairie Ridge Invite Championship, Fox Valley Conference Championship, Regional Championship, Sectional Championship and Super Sectional Championship
  • In 2014, her team won the Schamburg Championship, Fox Valley Conference Championship and Regional Championship
  • Over the course of four years, she notched 379 kills, 189 digs, 81 aces and 95 blocks
  • During her senior year she tallied 191 kills, 55 digs, 20 aces and 47 blocks
  • Also played club volleyball for Balance Volleyball under head coach Patty Langanis, helping her team to a 2016 AAU Bid
  • Served on the Executive Board of Latino Leaders and was a chair for events on Student Council
