  • The Lead: Three Crusaders notched double digit points, but Holy Cross fell to Lehigh on Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa. by a score of 80-64.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Junior guard Tricia Byrne led the Crusaders with 18 points, shooting 4-for-6 on the day.
  • Junior guard Infiniti Thomas-Waheed notched 16 points with five rebounds and a pair of assists.
  • Freshman forward Lauren Manis also scored in double figures for Holy Cross, notching 16 points with three steals and two blocks.
  • Quinci Mann led the Mountain Hawks with 23 points, shooting 8-for-15 on the day.
  • Gena Grundhoffer also had a strong game offensively for Lehigh, posting 20 points while shooting 7-for-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Lehigh started strong out of the gate, outscoring Holy Cross 19-11 through the first quarter.
  • The Crusaders responded in the second period, posting 10-0 run to make it a three-point game with 4:01 remaining in the half.
  • The Mountain Hawks were able to maintain their lead and take a 39-30 lead into the locker room at the half.
  • Holy Cross and Lehigh battled back-and-forth throughout the third quarter, as the Mountain Hawks narrowly outscored the Crusaders 20-19.
  • Holy Cross cut the deficit to single digits early on in the fourth, but Lehigh posted 21 points in the final frame to secure the 80-64 final.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Byrne registered a new career-high with four three-point field goals, and tied her career-high in scoring with 18 points. She has scored in double digits in four of her last five games.
