Men‘s Track And Field Takes On The New England Indoor Championship

The Lead: The Holy Cross men’s track and field team competed at the New England Indoor Championship held in Boston from Feb. 24-25.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Junior Thomas Kalantzakos posted a competitive 800-meter run time of 1:55.60 for a 19th-place finish. He posted his second-best career mark in this event.
  • Sophomore Alexander Escada placed sixth in the heptathlon, notching 4,311 points. His points serve as a career and season-best mark for Holy Cross.
  • Sophomore Brandon Thornhill finished 12th out of 27 opponents in the 60-meter hurdles with his time of 8.42. His time was his second-best mark he posted this season.
  • In the one-mile run, sophomore Joseph Prunty took the 23rd-place spot with his time of 4:28.22.
  • The 4x400 relay squad of Thornhill, freshman Freddie Halloran, junior James Donohue and Kalantzakos finished 13th overall with a time of 3:22.90.
