Women's Soccer Comes Up Short To Quinnipiac, 4-3 In Overtime

Quinnipiac got off to a strong start offensively in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead over the Crusaders in the 11th minute with a goal from Madison Borowiec. Despite being down a goal early, Holy Cross outshot the Bobcats 7-3 in the first half. The Crusaders responded in the 45th minute just before halftime, as junior Ang Seslija found a rebound in front of the net and tied the game.

Holy Cross took a 2-1 lead in the 55th minute, as senior Christina Callahan shot a long ball off the post that deflected into the net. The Bobcats regained the lead late with goals in the 75th and 81st minutes to make it 3-2 in their favor, but Seslija answered back with a long free kick goal that snuck under the crossbar to tie the game once again. The Bobcats would take the game in overtime in the 97th minute, as Nadya Gill scored for the second time of the night.
