Women's Hockey Falls to New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team fell 9-1 to the New Hampshire Wildcats Saturday afternoon. Junior Amanda Kewer led the Crusaders with the lone goal in the first period. Senior Tessie Salatas recorded 28 saves in 60 minutes of play with a .757 save percentage. Six different skaters scored for the Wildcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Wildcats came out strong and scored within in the first three minutes of the first period. New Hampshire scored two more times before Kewer found the back of the net for the Crusaders. She was assisted by junior Victoria Young. The Wildcats went into the second period up 3-1.
- New Hamshire controlled the second period and added three more goals to lead the game 6-1 going into the third period.
- The Wildcats scored four more to lead the Crusaders 9-1, which is how the game's score would end.
The Crusaders will host the Chinese National team in Worcester, Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7:05 p.m. for the last exhibition game of the season.
