Crusaders Fall To Lehigh In Final Game Of The Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Holy Cross women’s soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to Lehigh in the Crusaders’ final game of the season on Saturday afternoon. Clare Severe put the Mountain Hawks on the board in the 11th minute of play, as she scored with a shot just inside the goal post. Lehigh would add another tally in the 35th minute to make it 2-0, as Annika Jansa curled a shot into the high corner on a free kick.
Holy Cross responded in the second half with an offensive push, outshooting Lehigh 13-4 in the final 45 minutes. The Mountain Hawks found the back of the net again in the 76th minute of play, as Severe scored for the second time with a corner shot. Despite registering six shots on goal in the second half, the Crusaders were unable to find the back of the net.
