HOW IT HAPPENED
-0 HC (1st, 9:33, EV): In the neutral zone, T.J. Moore broke up the Canisius transition and sent Danny Lopez down the boards into the offensive zone. Lopez rushed the zone and turned the corner to drive the net, backhanding the puck towards goal. Urbani stopped Lopez’s first shot but the senior forward’s second effort made its way into the back of the net.
-0 HC (1st, 10:55, PP): With the man-advantage, the Crusaders rushed the zone. T.J. Moore received a centering feed and quickly directed the puck through a Golden Griffin defenseman’s legs to Scott Pooley at the top of the circle. Pooley sent the puck back across the slot where Michael Laffin one-timed the puck into an open net.
-1 CC (1st, 16:33, PP): With five shots on the power play, the Golden Griffins pressured the Crusader goal and Alex Jaeckle was able to connect on a rebound in front.
-1 HC (2nd, 19.59, PP): On a five-on-three Michael Laffin moved the puck from below the goal line on the left side of the goal to T.J. Moore at the center point. Moore took a slapshot that made its way through traffic and off the pad of Canisius’ Daniel Urbani that Danny Lopez then buried with 0.7 seconds remaining in the period.
-1 HC (3rd, 7:38, PP): After T.J. Moore won the faceoff to Michael Laffin on the hash marks along the half wall, Laffin moved the puck to Spencer Trapp at the point. Trapp skated towards the center point and dropped the puck back to Moore at the top of the left faceoff dot. The senior forward then fired the puck through Urbani’s five-hole.
-1 HC (3rd, 18:37, EN): The combination of Ryan Ferrill and Mitch Collett worked the puck out of the zone. Ferrill chipped the puck along the wall and Mulcahy grabbed the puck, skated over the red line and took a wrist shot into the empty net.
