Men's Tennis Defeated 6-1 By Boston College

  • The Lead: The Holy Cross men’s tennis team fell to Boston College by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Worcester.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Freshman Matthew Slowinski earned a point for the Crusaders in singles play, winning the No. 3 flight by scores of 7-5 and 6-0.
  • Senior Tom Cimini was defeated in the No. 1 flight singles, falling 6-1 in both sets.
  • Sophomore Matthew Murphy took the loss at No. 2 singles, 6-0 and 6-2.
  • In the No. 4 flight, junior Peter Campito fell 6-2 in set one before coming up just short 7-6 in the second.
  • Freshman Andrew Vroman was dealt a narrow loss at No. 5 singles, falling 6-2 and 7-5.
  • In the No. 6 singles match, senior Johnny McAuliffe was defeated 6-1 and 6-2.
  • The Eagles earned a point in doubles play, winning all three matches. Campito and Slowinski nearly took the No. 2 flight, but ultimately came up short 7-6.
