Lindsay Piotti is currently in her 14th season as an assistant coach of the women's rowing team in 2017-2018. The Shrewsbury, Mass. native is a 2004 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she was a four-year letterwinner for the women's rowing team.
Piotti was selected co-captain her senior year and led the Lightweight Eight team to a fifth-place overall finish at the IRA National Championship held in Camden, N.J., in June 2004. It was the first time in Rhode Island history that a Ram squad reached the finals. That same Lightweight Eight finished first in the ECAC Championships held in Worcester in May 2004.
Piotti earned a bachelor's degree in Communications Studies in May 2004. In 2005 and 2006 she attended USRowing coaching certification courses and is now a level 2 certified coach. In August of 2005, Piotti was co-director of the USRowing Master's Nationals Regatta held on Lake Quinsigamond; she has since continued to be co-director of the New England Championships Regatta, held in Worcester each May. Piotti also serves as part of the coaching staff for the WPI Rowing Camp and Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Rowing Camp each summer.
She is a resident of Dudley, Mass., where she lives with with her husband David, daughter Mia and son Leo.
