Dan Mercurio is in his second year as the director of athletics marketing at the College of the Holy Cross in 2017-2018. Mercurio is responsible for the creation and the execution of all athletics marketing plans, while assisting in development and implementation of strategies to generate revenue and bring community exposure.
Mercurio came to Holy Cross from Boston University, where he served as the director of marketing and strategic planning since 2013. He was responsible for leading the development of strategic initiatives to improve visibility of the department of athletics internally and externally, and served as the day-to-day manager of the Boston University Athletics brand.
Mercurio previously spent two years working in the dean of students office at Boston University as a coordinator of programs running campus wide student events. Prior to that, he spent a year working in marketing and sales for the Boston Red Sox.
Mercurio has two degrees from Boston University. He received his bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2010, and his master’s degree in advertising in 2014.
