Jen Lapicki will be in her second season as the head softball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2017-18. She joined the Crusaders after serving for one season as the head coach of the New Jersey Breakers in Farmingdale, N.J., leading program skill development for four age groups and seven teams.
In the spring of 2017, Lapicki led the Crusadres to their first Patriot League Tournament appearance in six seasons.
Lapicki was previously an assistant coach at Princeton for three seasons from 2013-2015. During her time at Princeton, she helped lead the Tigers to three consecutive second place finishes in the Ivy League South Division. In 2013, Princeton posted an overall record of 27-19, good for its most victories since 2006.
Prior to her time at Princeton, Lapicki was an assistant coach at Iona during the 2012 season. During her one year with the Gaels, Iona posted an overall record of 35-26, won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association regular season and tournament titles, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Lapicki earned her bachelor’s degree in sports management from Florida State in 2011, and her master’s degree in business administration from Iona in 2013. She earned Academic All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors during both of her seasons with the Seminoles, in addition to being named second team All-Atlantic Coast Conference and All-Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament as a senior in 2011.
Lapicki previously attended Tennessee during her freshman and sophomore years, where she was named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team in 2008 and the CoSIDA Academic All-America third team in 2009. She played in the NCAA Tournament during each of her four seasons in college.
