The Holy Cross men’s basketball team plays its final game of the regular season when it faces Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 2:05 p.m. The game between the Crusaders and the Terriers can be seen live on the internet through Crusader Vision the Patriot League Network. In addition, the contest will air live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross enters the contest with an overall record of 15-15 and a 9-8 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are currently in fifth place in the league, and can finish in a tie for fourth with a victory over Boston University and a Bucknell win over Navy. The winner of the Holy Cross-Navy tiebreak would then host a quarterfinal game in the tournament. Under all other scenarios, the Crusaders would be seeded either fifth or sixth and play on the road in the quarterfinals.

Senior forward Malachi Alexander leads the team by averaging 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. Senior guard Robert Champion has also enjoyed a strong season, averaging 13.0 points, 3.4 boards and 1.6 steals per contest. In addition, sophomore forward Karl Charles has added 9.6 points, 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Boston University enters the game with an overall record of 16-13 and an 11-6 mark in conference play. The Terriers can lock up the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament with a victory, and could drop to third or fourth with a loss.

Senior guard Eric Fanning leads the team by averaging 14.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, while hitting 77.7 percent of his free throws. Senior forward Justin Alston has added 11.8 points and 6.0 boards per contest, while junior guard Cedric Hankerson is chipping in with 9.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

Following the contest with Boston University, the Crusaders will open play in the Patriot League Tournament with a quarterfinal round game on Thursday, March 3.
