Katie Doherty Named Academic All-Patriot League
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior guard Katie Doherty was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, as voted on by the conference’s media relations directors.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. This is the second-straight year Doherty has earned Academic All-Patriot League accolades.
Doherty, an economics major with a 3.86 grade-point average, started in all 30 games for Holy Cross this season, and averaged 7.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 31.0 percent from the field.
Academically, Doherty holds the highest grade-point average on the team, and has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll the past two seasons. Doherty also serves as a Veteran Leader in the Holy Cross Leadership Academy.
Holy Cross finished the 2016-2017 season with an 8-22 record and a 6-12 mark in Patriot League play.
