
Brendan King Named C&R Tire Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Brendan King has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 10-16. King helped the Holy Cross baseball team take three-out-of-four games at Army West Point last weekend.
During Saturday’s 2-0 victory over the Black Knights in the opening game of the series, King earned the win by throwing a seven-inning complete game shutout. He allowed just five hits and one walk on the day, while striking out eight batters.
King now stands 2-4 on the season with a 3.75 earned run average, three complete games and 32 strikeouts. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he owns a 12-7 record with a 3.12 earned run average, seven complete games and 140 strikeouts.
The Crusaders (15-19 overall, 8-4 Patriot League) return to action on Wednesday, April 19, when they play host to Siena at 5:05 p.m.
