Men's Track And Field Takes On Day One Of Patriot League Outdoor Championship

The Lead: The Holy Cross men's track and field team took on the opening day of competition at the 2017 Patriot League Outdoor Championship hosted by Lehigh at Goodman Track and Field on Friday.


  • The 4x800-meter relay team took sixth place, running for a season-best time of 7:49.62. The squad consisted of junior Dan McLoughlin (1:59.40), and classmate Thomas Kalantzakos (1:54.10), as well as seniors Michael Andre (1:56.10) and Henry Dodge (1:59.50).
  • Senior co-captain Michael Araujo cleared a personal best height of 4.55 meters, tying for sixth place in the pole vault.
  • In the javelin throw, sophomore Myles Connor reached a distance of 46.23 meters.
  • At the conclusion of day one, Navy leads the way with 67 points.


  • The Crusaders return to action tomorrow for the final events of the 2017 Patriot League Outdoor Championship.
