Two Crusaders Compete In Opening Day Of New England Outdoor Championship

The Lead: Two Crusaders opened action for the Holy Cross men's track and field team at the 2017 New England Outdoor Championship hosted by Williams on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Senior co-captain Michael Araujo tied for 15th place in the pole vault after clearing a career third-best height of 4.40 meters.
  • Freshman Freddie Halloran placed 17th in the 400-meter hurdles with his career-best time of 55.16 seconds.
  • After day one, Rhode Island leads the way with 49 points.
