THE BASICS:
Regatta: Eastern Sprints

The Lead: The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed at the 2017 Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond as the Crusaders tied for 15th. Yale won the team title to earn the Rowe Cup.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The varsity eight was sixth in its heat out of six boats with a time of 6:02.732. No. 5 Princeton won with a time of 5:35.944. The Crusaders then finished fourth in the Third-Level Final out of six boats with a time of 5:52.324 to place 16th in the overall varsity eight competition. Yale won the Grand Final.
- The second varsity eight placed fifth in its heat out of six boats with a time of 6:05.687. Penn won with a time of 5:40.422.The Crusaders then placed fourth in the Third-Level Final out of six boats with a time of 6:06.465 to finish 16th overall in the second varsity eight competition. Princeton won the Grand Final.
THE TURNPIKE TROPHY:
- The Eastern Sprints is part of the Turnpike Trophy competition between Holy Cross and Boston University. The Terriers earned a point with their fourth place finish. Go here for the schedule and results of the Turnpike Trophy.

- Holy Cross Varsity Eight: Ally Sullivan (Coxswain), Vince LaMonte, Keenan Moore, John Romano, Nate Gould, William McCue, Barrett Shea, Connor Mudrick, Chris Paul.
- Holy Cross Second Varsity Eight: Ben MacDougald (Coxswain), Paul Stanovich, Rob Jelcz, Aiden Maynard, Luca Szczepanik, Nathaniel Lombardi, Mathew Zakrzewski,Chris Mudrick, Dan Beckham.
