Six Softball Players Earn NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete Award

WORCESTER, Mass. – Six softball players have received the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American Scholar Athlete Award. Juniors Alexandra Held, Jackie Brewster, Taylor Wahler, seniors Taylor Moss, Mandy McCarthy and 2017 graduate Emily Krisanda received the award for the 2017 season.

The award recognizes academic excellence (3.5 GPA or better) of softball players across seven divisions.

The NFCA is an organization for fastpitch softball coaches at the travel, high school, collegiate, professional and international levels. With over 4,000 members, the NFCA has representatives around the country and world. The organization’s award programs recognize student-athletes for their performances in the classroom and on the field.
