WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman placekicker Jackson McLarty has been named the Corvias Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday’s victory over Georgetown. This marks the first time McLarty has earned Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week honors in his collegiate career.

During the 24-10 victory over the Hoyas, McLarty scored a career-high 10 points by hitting all three of his field goal attempts and his only extra point try. He connected on field goals of 29 and 31 yards in the second quarter to help the Crusaders build a 13-3 halftime lead. McLarty then added a 24-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to put Holy Cross up 16-10.

On the season, McLarty now ranks fifth on the team in scoring with 13 points, making three of four field goals and all four of his extra points.

The Crusaders (3-6 overall, 2-2 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, Nov. 4, when they travel to Fordham for a 1:00 p.m. game.
