Tessie Salatas Named C&R Tire Crusader Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior goaltender Tessie Salatas has been named the C&R Tire Crusader of the Week, for competition from Nov. 13-19. Salatas helped the Holy Cross women’s ice hockey team to a 1-1 mark in a pair of games last week.
After not playing in Friday night’s 8-3 loss at Harvard, Salatas posted a shutout as the Crusaders defeated the Crimson 2-0 on Saturday. She totaled 32 saves to earn the victory as Holy Cross defeated Harvard for the first time in the history of the program.
Overall this season, Salatas stands 2-3 with 117 saves and a 3.00 goals against average. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she owns a 27-7 record with 661 saves, six shutouts and a 1.75 goals against average.
The Crusaders (6-4-1 overall) return to action on Friday, Nov. 24, when they travel to Dartmouth for a 6:00 p.m. game.
