Connolly Named First Team All-Northeast Region

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross field hockey senior Maureen Connolly has been named to the 2017 Longstreth / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Northeast Region First Team, as announced by the organization on Monday. This is the third-straight year that Connolly has been named all-region.

Connolly, who was named All-Patriot League for the third consecutive year, had another stellar season offensively for the Crusaders in 2017. She led the Patriot League in scoring, notching a program-record 47 points on 19 goals and nine assists. Her 2.61 points per game ranked fourth in the nation. In her career, Connolly amassed 123 points on 50 goals and 23 assists. She finished her collegiate career ranked second all-time in program history for career points.

Holy Cross posted a 7-11 record in 2017 with a 3-3 mark in the Patriot League.
