The Holy Cross men’s basketball team travels to Massachusetts this week for a 7:00 p.m. game on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The contest between the Crusaders and the Minutemen will be shown by the Atlantic 10 Network, and will also air live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross currently own an overall record of 2-5 on the season. The Crusaders have lost their last five games, and are coming off a 58-54 setback against La Salle on Saturday.

Junior forward Karl Charles has led the team by averaging 11.5 points, 3.2 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game, while hitting 74.1 percent of his free throw attempts. Freshman guard Caleb Green is also off to a strong start this year, with averages of 11.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest. Junior guard Patrick Benzan has added 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game, while junior forward Jehyve Floyd is chipping in with 10.7 points, 4.9 boards and 0.9 blocks per contest.

Massachusetts enters the game with a 3-5 record on the year. After winning three of their first four games, the Minutemen have lost four straight. In its last game, UMass fell at South Carolina 76-70.

Sophomore guard Luwane Pipkins has led the Minutemen by averaging 18.3 points, 3.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game so far this season. Junior center Rashaan Holloway has also been playing well, with averages of 10.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots per game.

After the contest at Massachusetts, the Crusaders will return home to face New Hampshire at 3:05 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9.
