Paul Berrafato Tabbed As Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior goaltender Paul Berrafato has been named the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month for November. It is Berrafato’s second monthly award after earning the honor in November of 2015. The senior netminder led the Crusaders to a 2-3-4 record in November.
Berrafato recorded two shutouts in the month of November, making 27 saves on Nov. 10 to blank Air Force followed by a 27-save shutout at Army on Nov. 18. He recorded 249 saves in nine November games, including two 30-plus save performances.
On the season, Berrafato has recorded three shutouts, pushing him into the all-time career shutouts leader at Holy Cross. His three shutouts also ranks fourth in the nation. He holds a .924 save percentage and a 2.41 goals against average, which ranks first and second in the league, respectively. Berrafato ranks 12th nationally in save percentage.
The Crusaders (6-5-6, 5-2-5 AHC) will wrap up the first half of the season with a Saturday night game at Union (9-7-1, 6-2-0 ECAC) on Dec. 9 at 7:00 p.m.
