Julie Matthias Earns NEWHA Player of the Week Award

WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Julie Matthias was named the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Player of the Week for play from Nov. 20-25.

Matthias recorded two goals against Dartmouth Nov. 24 for her second consecutive game tallying two goals. Matthias leads the Crusaders with five goals on the season and ranks third in points (5-4-9). She is also tied for eighth in the alliance in goals scored. 

The NEWHA is comprised of six Division I/II independent women's hockey schools: Holy Cross, Post, St. Michael's. Saint Anselm, Franklin Pierce and Sacred Heart. The Crusaders will compete within the NEWHA for the 2017-18 season until the team transistions to Hockey East next year.
