Holy Cross for a Cure To Host 10th Annual Benching for Breast Cancer
WORCESTER, Mass. -
On Friday, Dec. 8, The 10th Annual Benching for Breast Cancer Fundraiser will take place at the Weight Room of the Luth Athletic Complex at 5:00 p.m. Benching for Breast Cancer is a weight lifting competition between teams of four. Prizes are awarded for the best team costume, most enthusiastic team, and the team with the most donations raised, along with raffle prizes.
Student-athletes, combined with HC for a Cure and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), have teamed up to sponsor the Benching for Breast Cancer event to raise money for Pink Revolution, a Worcester-based breast cancer alliance within the UMass Medical Center, benefitting breast cancer research, education, screening and prevention.
Preregistration is a $15 donation and includes a T-shirt and food. Walk-up registration at the door is $20.
"We are very excited to host the 10th annual Benching for Breast Cancer event in the new facility! It is always a great measure of the commitment of the Holy Cross Community to those around us," saiid head strenghth and conditioning coach Jeff Oliver. "It is a great way to celebrate the last day of classes by raising funds to help others!"

Come ready to have some fun with your friends while raising awareness for breast cancer! There will also be a Remembrance Wall for participants to sign the names and honor the survivors, fighters, and those who lost the battle to breast cancer. Pictures, quotes, and articles will also be posted on the wall.
