Manis Named Patriot League Player of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross sophomore Lauren Manis has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week, for competition from Jan. 1-7. This is the first Patriot League weekly honor for Manis this season.

Manis scored 26 points in the Crusaders’ loss to Lafayette while adding six rebounds, two blocks and three steals. She also scored in double figures in the win against Lehigh with 18 points, adding eight boards with three steals as well. She leads the Patriot League in scoring with 18.3 points per game and ranks fifth with 8.6 rebounds per contest. In her career, Manis has tallied 655 points (14.9 per game) and 347 rebounds (7.9 per game).

Holy Cross (7-7, 2-1 Patriot League) returns to action tonight, as the Crusaders take on Loyola (Md.) in Baltimore, Md. at 7:00 p.m.
