WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women’s basketball team is set to continue Patriot League action Saturday, as the Crusaders play host to Boston University in Worcester. Saturday’s game will be broadcast online via the Patriot League Network on PatriotLeague.TV. In addition, the game will be broadcast on Emmanuel Radio (1230 AM | 1230radio.com) with Bob Fouracre on play-by-play. Saturday’s game is part of the Turnpike Trophy rivalry series, which awards a point for each head-to-head victory between Holy Cross and BU. The Terriers lead this season’s standings 6-3.

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
• Holy Cross most recently took a 62-54 loss to Navy on Wednesday in Annapolis.
• Sophomore Lauren Manis leads the Patriot League with 18.7 points per game and ranks fourth in rebounds per game with 9.2.
• Senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed ranks second in the Patriot League in scoring with 16.6 points per game. She notched her 1,000th career point in the win over Vermont with a jump shot in the third quarter, becoming the 33rd player in program history to reach the milestone.
• Head Coach Bill Gibbons is one win away from his 600th career victory, having earned his 599th career win against Lafayette on Jan. 27.

SERIES QUICK HITS
• The Crusaders are 15-5 all-time against BU.
• In the last meeting between the two programs, Holy Cross defeated the Terriers 60-57 on Jan. 13 earlier this season in Boston.
• The first meeting between these teams took place during the 1975-76 season, with the Crusaders earning a 48-37 win over BU.
• In games played in Worcester, Holy Cross holds the series edge at 8-2.

LAST TIME OUT
• Sophomore Lauren Manis posted 20 points and a career-high 20 rebounds, but it was not enough as the Holy Cross women’s basketball team fell to Navy 62-54 on Wednesday night.
• Manis shot 7-for-8 from the free throw line and 6-for-14 from the field as she led the Crusaders (10-13, 5-7) with 20 points and 20 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. 
• Senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed finished the game with nine points and six rebounds with a pair of assists. 
• Senior Amy Hasenauer posted seven points with five rebounds and three blocks. 
• The Midshipmen (19-4, 9-3) were led by Bianca Roach, who posted 15 points with three assists and two steals. 
• Taylor Dunham (13), Hannah Fenske (12) and Laureal Jaunich (10) also scored in double figures.
• Navy shot 35.4% (23-65) from the field, while Holy Cross shot 31.6% (18-57). 
• The Crusaders posted 46.7% (7-15) from behind the arc while holding the Midshipmen to 35.0% (7-20). 
• Holy Cross made 78.6% (11-14) of its free throws, while Navy shot 40.9% (9-22).

SCOUTING REPORT ON BOSTON U.
• Boston University enters Saturday’s contest with a 9-13 overall record and a 4-8 mark in Patriot League play. They have fallen in six of their last seven games, but most recently defeated Colgate 66-64 on Wednesday night in Boston.
• The Terriers fell to Holy Cross in the first meeting between these teams on Jan. 13, 60-57.
• Nia Irving leads BU’s offense, posting an average of 12.1 points per game while shooting 49.3% on the year.
• Irving also leads the team in rebounding with an average of 6.7 boards per game.
• Head coach Katy Steding is in her fourth season with the Terriers.
