The Holy Cross men’s basketball team will begin Patriot League Tournament action when it plays at Navy in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. The game between the Crusaders and the Midshipmen can be seen live on the internet through the Patriot League Network. In addition, the game can be heard live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross has an overall record of 11-18 and placed sixth in the Patriot League with an 8-10 mark in conference action. The Crusaders have won six of their last 10 games, but are coming off a 59-53 loss at Colgate on Saturday. Holy Cross ranks second in the league in scoring defense (68.0 points per game), field goal percentage defense (43.6 percent), blocked shots (3.4 blocks per game) and turnover margin (+0.9 turnovers per game).

Junior forward Jehyve Floyd has led the team by averaging 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game, while ranking sixth in the nation with a .657 field goal percentage. Freshman guard Austin Butler has also been playing well, with averages of 9.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest. Freshman guard Caleb Green has added 8.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.4 boards per game, while freshman forward Jacob Grandison is chipping in with 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest.

Navy stands 20-11 overall this season and tied for third in the Patriot League with an 11-7 record in conference action. The Midshipmen have won five of their last six games, including a 62-56 victory over Loyola (Md.) on Saturday.

Senior guard Shawn Anderson has led the team by averaging 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, while hitting 75.2 percent of his free throws. Senior guard Bryce Dulin has added 10.2 points and 3.1 boards per contest, while junior guard Hasan Abdullah is chipping in with 9.8 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.

The winner of the Holy Cross-Navy game will move on to the Patriot League semifinals, where it will face American, Colgate or Lafayette on Sunday, March 4.
