Holy Cross Athletics   02-28-2018

WORCESTER, Mass. – Men’s ice hockey senior goaltender Paul Berrafato has been named Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week on Feb. 28 for his performance in a 1-0 weekend for the men’s hockey team.

This is the third weekly honor for Berrafato in the 2017-18 season and fourth league honor. It is the seventh time in his career to be recognized as the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the week.

Berrafato led the team to claim a 2-0 victory over American International on Feb. 22, with a 31-save shutout. The win helped Holy Cross clinch a third place seed into the Atlantic Hockey Tournament. Berrafato’s fifth shutout of the year also pushed him to the top of the all-time single season shutout list at Holy Cross. He has also captured the all-time shutout record at Holy Cross previously in the season.

The Crusaders resume play with the Atlantic Hockey Quarterfinals on March 9-11 for a best-of-three series with an opponent to be determined after the Atlantic Hockey First Round. The games will be played at the Hart Center at 7:05 p.m. each night. To purchase tickets call 1-844-GOCROSS or visit GoHolyCross.com/Tickets.
