Manis And Thomas-Waheed Named All-Patriot League

WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Lauren Manis and senior Infiniti Thomas-Waheed were named All-Patriot League, as announced by the league on Friday. Manis was named First Team All-Patriot League, while Thomas-Waheed garnered second team honors. This is the second all-conference honor for both student-athletes in their careers.

Manis led the Patriot League in scoring throughout the year, posting 17.8 points per game through the regular season. She also ranked fifth in the Patriot League in rebounding, averaging 8.7 boards per game. Her 1.9 steals per game also ranked third in the conference. This season she has scored in double figures 26 times, and has posted nine double-doubles. In her career, she has posted 916 points with 480 rebounds in 59 games played for an average of 15.5 points per game with 8.1 boards per contest. Last season, she was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, in addition to earning Second Team All-Patriot League and All-Rookie Team honors.

Thomas-Waheed second in the Patriot League in scoring, notching 16.4 points per game while adding 5.9 rebounds per game to rank 12th in the conference. She also tied for fourth with 1.7 steals per game. In December, she became the 33rd player in program history to score 1,000 career points. To date, she has tallied 1,322 points to average 11.7 per game over her four-year career. She has also added 541 rebounds for an average of 4.8 rebounds per game while appearing in 113 games for the Crusaders. In 2015-16, she was named Second Team All-Patriot League, and earned All-Defensive Team honors.

Holy Cross (12-17, 7-11) will serve as the #7 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, and will play host to #10 Colgate in the first round this Saturday, March 3 at 1:05 p.m. at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. To purchase your tickets for the first round game, Click Here.
