Six Crusaders Selected To 2018 Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Texas – Six graduating seniors from the 2017 Holy Cross football team have been selected to the 2018 Hampshire Honor Society, as announced by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame. The team is comprised of graduating seniors from schools across the country who were starters or key reserves and maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20. A total of 1,251 players from 302 schools across the nation were selected to this year’s Honor Society.

The Holy Cross players to be honored were senior running back Gabe Guild, senior defensive lineman Jack Kutschke, senior defensive back Brett Laurie, senior tight end Jayke Simsheuser, senior placekicker A.J. Wells and senior defensive lineman Phil Zobrest.

The Crusaders are scheduled to play their annual spring game this Saturday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m. Holy Cross will open the 2018 season when it travels to Colgate on Saturday, Sept. 1.
