Women's Soccer Announces 2018 Schedule
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head women’s soccer coach Casey Brown has announced the Crusaders’ 2018 schedule. The season will feature 17 regular season games, including eight home games at Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium.
“Our 2018 schedule will be a great opportunity to test our program against other quality regional opponents, and more importantly prepare us for Patriot League play,” said Brown. “Each game will present a new challenge for us that we will use to improve and strengthen our team each week. We are eager to get underway with this group and are excited by this season’s opportunity.”
Holy Cross will open the 2018 slate with two road games, starting at Providence on Aug. 16 followed by New Hampshire on Aug. 19. The Crusaders will return home to open Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium on Aug. 24 before hitting the road once more to face Hartford on Aug. 30.
The Crusaders will continue their non-conference schedule with two home games against Saint Peter’s on Sept. 2 and Bryant on Sept. 6. Holy Cross will travel to Brown on Sept. 9 before opening Patriot League action on Sept. 15 at Navy and then at Lafayette on Sept. 22.
For their first home Patriot League match-up, the Crusaders will play the Boston University Terriers in a Turnpike Trophy match-up on Sept. 26. Holy Cross will travel to NCAA Tournament participant Bucknell on Sept. 29.
The Crusaders will return home for a three-game home stretch, facing Loyola on Oct. 6, Dartmouth on Oct. 9, and American on Oct. 13. For their final two road games of the regular season, the Crusaders will travel to Colgate on Oct. 17 and Army on Oct. 21. To close the regular season, Holy Cross will take on Lehigh on Oct. 26 at home.
The Patriot League Tournament will begin with a quarterfinal round on Oct. 30. The semifinal round will follow on Nov. 2 before the championship game, which is scheduled for Nov. 4.
