Cashion Named Patriot League Goalkeeper Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore goalkeeper Caroline Cashion was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday. This is the first weekly award for Cashion in her career.
Cashion helped lead the Crusaders to a 1-0-1 week with a 0-0 tie against Colgate and a 1-0 double overtime victory over Army West Point. She stopped five shots in the tie with Colgate, while registering three saves in the win over Army West Point. On the season, Cashion holds an .802 save percentage and a 1.05 goals against average. She has also totaled seven shutouts on the season, which rank fourth all-time in program history. Cashion has not allowed a goal in the Crusaders’ previous four Patriot League games.
Holy Cross (4-8-4, 2-3-3 Patriot League) returns to action this weekend, as the Crusaders travel to Lehigh for their final regular season game at 1:00 p.m.
